SB04 IMPREGNATOR

PRIMER

SB04 IMPREGNATOR FOR CONCRETE STRUCTURES

It is a silane siloxane emulsion. Primer for hydrophobic impregnation of concrete and reinforced concrete.
The product is suitable for impregnating plasters, ceramics, stones, bricks.
Strengths:
• Significant reduction of water absorption of the treated concrete surface.
• Does not clog the pores and capillaries of the construction material, i.e. it remains highly vapor permeable.
• Increases the resistance of concrete to alkalis and chlorides.
• Excellent penetration rate.
• Good adhesion to paints.

PREPARATION

The base must be dry, free of grease and formwork oil residues. Old, poorly bonded coatings must be removed.

Laying

It is applied with a gun, paint brush or roller. Two or more layers (wet on wet) are applied to the concrete until the surface is saturated and sufficient penetration depth is achieved. The number of applied layers depends on the porosity of the treated surface. Do not allow the formation of paths from the product.
• Application is usually done by spraying under low pressure, which allows the impregnating agent to be applied evenly over the entire surface.
• Newly laid concrete must wait a minimum of 28 days before applying the impregnating agent.
• Dust and other solid particles must be removed from the surface by brushing or air blasting.
• Before treating surfaces contaminated by oils, rubber particles, etc., use a stream of warm air to clean them.
• The procedure should be performed only on a dry surface. If it starts to rain during impregnation, the procedure should be stopped and the already treated areas should be covered.

RECOMMENDATION

Optimum temperature range for application 10°C – 30°C. During work, the surface must be protected from precipitation. After use, the tools should be washed immediately with water.
7D1710 must not come into direct contact with bitumen.
7D1710 is used undiluted.
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection: Gas mask AVEK filter (Inhalation of aerosol mist may damage health.).
Hand protection: Butyl rubber gloves. Gloves suitable for use up to 60 minutes. The choice of suitable gloves depends not only on the material, but also on other quality characteristics and the manufacturer. Follow glove supplier’s guidelines for permeability and breakthrough time.
Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety glasses.
Skin protection: Protective clothing.

140 -200 ml/m² for one layer depending on the porosity of the base.
