SB01 BONDING SOLUTION FOR REINFORCEMENT PROTECTION
For anticorrosion protection of reinforcing steel and as a contacting layer of concrete and reinforced concrete before laying the other components of the system. SB 01 possesses a high adhesion to steel and concrete. Its application between concrete and repairing mortar provides the opportunity to achieve a high-quality adhesion area within the confines of the superficial layer. The mortar provides an efficient anticorrosion protection of reinforcing steel. SB 01 is a part of the system for rehabilitation of concretes and complies with all the requirements of the Bulgarian State Standard EN 1504.

PREPARATION
The SB 01 bonding solution has good adhesion to load-bearing, clean concrete bases, without cracks and substances that can impair adhesion. Corroded and carbonized concrete and all unstable layers are removed mechanically, by abrasive blasting or grinding. Rust from the reinforcing steel should be removed by sandblasting, after which the bars should be cleaned with compressed air. Before applying CB 01, the concrete must be sprayed with water without the formation of puddles. The steel may be wet when the solution is applied. CB 01 must be applied no later than 3 hours after cleaning the fittings.
Preparation of the solution: One package of 25 kg. stir in 6.5 liters of water. In a deep container with smooth walls, pour the specified amount of water for one package, add the dry mixture in parts and mix with an electric mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture is left for about 5 minutes and stirred again.
RECOMMENDATION
SB 01 should be used in dry conditions, at air and base temperatures from +5 to +30°C and relative humidity below 80%. In other conditions, the solidification of the material can proceed faster or slower. The solution must not be mixed with other solutions or additives. Excess material can be cleaned with water while still wet. Once the product has hardened, removal is only possible mechanically. SB 01 contains cement and reacts alkaline with water, so skin and eyes must be protected. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a doctor.

Laying
The prepared solution must be applied within 45 minutes with a brush to the cleaned armature. The solution must be applied evenly, covering the entire surface of the reinforcing bars. After hardening of the first layer (after about 3 hours) the second layer should be applied.
Contact layer: When applying the contact layer, the prepared solution CB 01 must be applied with a brush on the clean, wet concrete base and the previously protected reinforcing steel. The next layer of the sanitation system should be applied after initial drying of the contact layer, when the solution is slightly moist, i.e. within 30-60 minutes after application. If the next layer is not laid within this time, the contact layer must be applied once more, but only if the previously applied layer has completely hardened.
